Planet Handmade

I was recently contacted by Julier Bernard, the editor of The Knitter magazine and founder of a new enterprise, Planet Handmade.

Juliet asked if I could help her to promote Planet Handmade and I am delighted to do so.

So, without further ado here is the blurb;-
Planet Handmade is a new site aimed at designer-makers and retailers. Founder Juliet Bernard explains, “There are so many designer-makers out there that are truly creative and innovative and would love to run their own business. We hope to give them the skills they need and promote them to a much wider audience.” The site will start with knitting and crochet crafters but hopes to expand to all crafts in the future.
Right now Planet Handmade needs your help. If you are a retailer or designer-maker please go to www.planethandmade.net and answer one of the questionnaires on the homepage. Even if you aren’t running your own business yet but you would like to in the future, your opinion counts. As Juliet says, “Everyone’s input is important to make sure we are offering the best service we can.”

Linux version now available

I have just updated the site to add both demo and full versions of the Knitting Chart Editor for Linux 32 bit and 64 bit systems. Note that this has only been tested on Ubuntu. Follow the link here or click on ‘Knitting Chart Editor’ in the menu to find the goodies…
